Our Role

NRW.TECH Institute acts as an independent interface between international technology providers and Germany’s industrial ecosystem. From its base in North Rhine-Westphalia, the institute supports the structured integration of engineering capabilities into industrial value chains, research environments, and strategic cooperation frameworks relevant to Europe’s evolving economic security priorities.

Working across advanced manufacturing, dual-use innovation environments, and defence-relevant technology domains as well as broader strategic industries, NRW.TECH contributes to aligning external technologies with regulatory requirements, industrial standards, and long-term ecosystem partnerships.

Its role is not limited to facilitating market entry, but to enabling integration pathways that position technologies within sustainable industrial cooperation structures in Germany and Europe.

NRW.TECH complements public programs by enabling structured cooperation pathways between international technology providers and German ecosystem actors. The institute does not represent public authorities and does not act as a funding body.
